2. User Data Handling

Microphone and Camera Access

While AudXtract displays metadata and handles media files, it does not record or access your microphone or camera. The app only processes files that you explicitly select from your device.

Personal and Sensitive User Data

We do not collect or handle personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, address, or financial information. However, specified diagnostic data and usage patterns are collected via third-party providers as described below.

3. Third-Party Code and SDKs

We integrate several reputable third-party SDKs to ensure the app's performance and stability. These providers are prohibited from selling your data.

Sentry (Error Reporting)

• Purpose: To identify and fix software bugs and crashes.
• Data Collected: IP address, device type, browser version, operating system, and stack traces of errors.
• Privacy: We use Sentry to improve app reliability. IP addresses are used solely for diagnostic localization and are not linked to personal identities.

Microsoft Clarity (Usage Analytics)

• Purpose: To understand how users interact with the app and improve the user experience.
• Data Collected: Interaction data (clicks, scrolls, navigation), session recordings (masked), and device/browser metadata.
• Privacy: Clarity captures how you use our app-through heatmaps and session recordings-to improve our service. It does not capture sensitive input fields.

Google Play Services / App Set ID

AudXtract may use the App Set ID to support essential use cases such as analytics and fraud prevention. This identifier is not used for advertising personalization or measurement, and is not connected to personal data for advertising purposes.

4. Secure Data Handling

Any data that is transmitted (diagnostic logs and analytics) is handled securely using modern cryptography over HTTPS. We implement appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect information against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

App Data

Since all media processing is local, there is no server-side retention of your media files. Any temporary data stored in your browser (via LocalStorage or IndexedDB) remains on your device until you clear your browser's site data.

Analytics Data

Data stored by Sentry and Microsoft Clarity is retained according to their respective retention policies (typically 30–90 days for diagnostics). You can find more information in their privacy documentation.

Account Deletion

AudXtract **does not require or support user accounts**. Therefore, there is no account data to delete. All application state is stored locally on your device.

6. International Data Transfers

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, please be aware that diagnostic and analytics data may be processed in the United States. We ensure that our service providers comply with the EU-U.S., UK, and Swiss Data Privacy Frameworks or other valid transfer mechanisms to provide an adequate level of protection.

By using AudXtract, you consent to the collection and use of information as outlined in this policy. In cases where the app requires specific permissions (such as file access), we use standard system runtime permission requests.
